Alkaline eating & Proper Nutrition

Sorry the sound is out of sync with the video. I made this vid early summer of 2007. At one point I say that “I eat this way to make my system acidic…I meant to say ALKALINE …an acidic body is what sets the enviroment for chronic disease. The ideal ratio is: alkaline ash-producing food intake: 80%; acid ash producing food intake: 20%. There are 2 charts of acid/alkaline foods. One tells of whether the food is acid or alkaline before eating it; and the other is whether the ingested food is acid or alkaline within the body. I go by whether the food is alkaline or ash producing in the body.

Is Your Body Acidic or Alkaline? Vulnerable to Bad Health?

Your body is supposed to have a natural acid/alkaline balance. However, medications, sugars, poor diet and stress can all make the body more acidic.

When the body is acidic, yeast, bacteria, viruses and cancer can thrive. Conversely, when the body is alkaline, foreign bacteria, viruses, yeast and cancer can not live.

Our body has a natural balance called homeostasis. When we are too acidic, minerals, such as calcium, are leached from our bones to help alkalize the body. Another way our body tries to protect us from acid is to buffer it with fat and store it in the body.
